Enjoy the view from the Flight Deck out of Milan. The rain had stopped, and a blanket of clouds drifted about the city. But once we popped out of on top-- the view was spectacular.
Words can't do possibly do this beauty justice. Enjoy the view.
Enjoy the Journey!

Karlene ... nice pictures.
ReplyDeleteI got somehow similar ones, which I have taken on my trip in a Mooney from Mallorca back to Germany :-) The Alps are just beautiful (as is Norway).
Thank you! Oh, I can only imagine flying over the Alps in a Mooney... spectacular!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget to click on the $100 above and to the right... you could win gas money!
Wow, I can't wait to hear all those stories! I'm so glad you're home! This time I hope you get to stay for a while.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too. Thanks Heather. But you know-- when scheduling calls, we fly.
ReplyDeleteThese pics are awesome! I have never seen the Alps in the winter. I have always been there in the summer when they are just snowcapped.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever been there in the summer? It's really gorgeous too. The lakes, the blue/green mountains and the snowcaps.
I haven't seen them in the summer. But I can imagine they are spectacular. You know the most amazing thing is the actual popping out of the weather below, and seeing them emerge from the ocean of clouds. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIs New York part of the Unites States?
ReplyDelete"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and ...the persons or things to be seized."
The US Constitution, 4th amendment. I see it talks about searches, persons and need for warrants to perform a search of a person. Enough said.
D.B. Thanks for your comment. I'm going to copy this quote when I write about what happened out of that foreign country New York. Actually, foreign countries treat crew members with respect--- unlike my own country. I'm planning on writing this experience on Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are wonderful, we have flown over the alps every time we go on holiday, but at 30 000ft, pics not as nice as this!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much woodsey2! The real thing was spectacular. It's hard to describe the vast beauty.
ReplyDeleteAMAZING pictures K! I can't wait to read your story about landing the airbus in such a crosswind!!
ReplyDeleteI really envy you for that trip to Milan! Thanks for sharing those beautiful stories with us!
JD, thank you so much! And... airbus crosswind landing coming soon. More stories to come.
