The previous three months have been an exhausting challenge, with one month to go. What kept me going was my pending 3 week vacation, schedule to begin October 31st. Saturday I discovered they rescheduled two of those weeks to later months. One in December and the other in January. A flash of disappointment was immediately followed by a glimmer of hope. There could be only one reason for this change, but I was forced to wait until today to confirm or deny.
Confirmation!
I have been converted to SEATTLE November 1st!!!
22 Years. 8 Airlines. I finally made it to Seattle.
A Darby Happy Dance is in progress.
Saturday I also received an email stating my CRM article was on the front page of Aerlines Magazine
Now that is exciting news! We've already received many positive comments, not only for the magazine, but for both my article as well.
Thank you!
Good things come in threes. Today I'm buying a lottery ticket!
Have a great day and Enjoy the Journey!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Karlene- YEAH! No more commuting.
ReplyDeleteThank you Pilot!
ReplyDeleteYay! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you Vic!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! 22 years is a long time to commute! I am hoping for Minneapolis with DAL- is that a hard one to get? (I just hope it doesn't take that long for me to get!)

(ps- I decided not to do the capeair program I had asked you about- I am going to see how things are next year, and maybe I will try next year. I am hoping though that I can go to Skywest then Delta (although I know it is easier said than done...)
Thanks Dan! And MSP is very easy to get assigned. I could be a DC-9 Captain there, or very senior on the 757. You are going to do great. Just make a decision, go for it, and if it doesn't work you try another way. One thing I do know is... if you have the right attitude you will always make it.
ReplyDeletethanks! Do you mind if I email you a few other questions?
ReplyDeleteThanks
Dan
Of course not! Email away. I love questions. And I always have an answer. It may not be the right answer... but it will be an answer. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat thanks- I just figured it is easier than asking them on here.
ReplyDeleteDan
Outstanding. Tremendously thrilled for you!!!! Be well!
ReplyDeleteThank you Chats! Thrilling is the word. I will be well... YOU too!
ReplyDeleteWhoo hoo! Time to celebrate indeed, on both counts! I’m so happy for you. I'll raise a glass to you tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThank you Heather! Can I have two glasses? :)
