Good Luck Mima!

Somewhere in the world it is January 21st, and today a very special young lady is facing a huge test that will open a door to her aviation career, fulfilling her dream to fly. Below is the email she sent me two weeks ago. After you read her excitement, and share in her tears of joy, please join me in wishing her the best of luck on this very important day.

"I got through the second stage of cadet pilot exam (for Airasia ) and it will be held on 21st January 2013. Wish me luck as I now preparing myself for the upcoming ADAPT test. Yes, I literally cried + screaming when I received an email saying I passed. It felt like a dream, a true dream that come to reality. I guess Karlene was right, ALWAYS SAY YOU CAN DO IT, YOU WILL DO IT... My email came a bit late compared to my friend who also got selected so I spent almost 12 hours fighting with urge to think of something negative. I kept on telling myself 'yeahh my inbox is full, that's why I didn't get any email just yet' and it turns out that my inbox indeed full so my email came a bit late.

I CRIED even this was just the second stage and still got one more last stage but this is also mean I am indeed one final step closer to my dream. I can't wait to tell you guys the good news and I promise to myself I will wear that 'cadet pilot uniform' and once I do that, I TAKE PICTURE and share with you guys here....

Right now, I'm going to study and give all out for ADAPT because I know it was challenging but I also know I will pass. Throw away all the negativity from my head. Phewwww~~~~

It is hard actually to keep on moving forward when all those challenging moment always make you feel worn out and tired but I feel glad that with tiny little spirit to hold on, I still manage to keep holding on :)

  5. First of all I am so sorry for replying this a bit late. Hehehe. So much work to do as soon as I finished my stage two.

How do I perform? Not so good, to be honest. I know I did bad during flight simulator test but I did my best! In my life, I am not really a gamers type of person hence it was difficult for me to handle the joystick as it was my first time. You had no idea how I struggle. They got like 5 test during stage two so I really hope the rest of the test is okay including two interview. One is personality and one is for flight sim ( which not really convincing too ).
No matter what, I do hope the captain who interview me see my enthusiasm. I used to hear from previous cadet that they didn't looking for some natural good pilot who is too good in handling those flight sim games but instead, they search for those who have strong passion and willing to learn. I really really hope I passed.
It was quite heartbreaking knowing that I didn't do well for sim task but I still keep my positive mindset.
    Will I give up? NO!!
I won't!!! Because I know I can win this game and I can achieve my dream. It really one tiny little step closer. Very tiny one :)

Plus, the result still not out yet

    1. Mima, That is all we can do in life... if our best. And if you did that... you are a success. I know you will not give up. You will achieve your dreams. If they say no, lets see if we can find someone where you live to get you in a simulator. I'm still hoping that this will work out. Because, all pilots have had a bad sim day. Thanks for sharing your experience, and I am ever hopeful.

    2. Thank you so much for this shout out post and your continuous and never ending support. It means a lot to me and to know that there's a group of people out there, around the world who actually support me, it gives me strength that I need. And for your info, I did say your name during personality interview. The conversation were like this.

Capt Rick : So if you love to write then why didn't you continue your future to become a writer and produce lots of book?

Me : Yes I do love writing but my number one passion and ambition is to become a pilot. We can be a writer no matter what job we did. If someone like Captain Karlene successfully produce a book while she was an amazing pilot. A captain and also have families, why can't I?!

That time, he looked at me for a quite sometimes and then nodded. hehehehe. Yes I did say that. That personality interview didn't really go bad to my opinion in fact, it was the first time I actually have courage and feel brave to face that captain despite how tough and rough he looked. I know he will be provoking me but I don't feel scared and down and I just respect him and answer to him politely.
That personality interview was held as soon as flight sim test where my confident just crashed and dropped just like my airplane during that task but like a magic ( I know one of the reason is because you and the rest of this blog follower pray and wish ), I manage to pick myself up in a few second and enter the room with confident. Completely ignore the fact that I just screwed previous mission.

It does feel like a magic !

      THANK YOU FOR THAT.

    3. Mima, I am smiling at your comments to the captain about writing. I wonder if his curiosity got him and he googled me. You know, I have so much faith in you. You are one of those people who can do anything she wants in this world, because you won't give up. There is no better magic than that.
