Aviation In 2013

2013 inspiration!

Flight To Success Blog is all about Aviation, Safety, and promotion of Aviators, Events and Causes. And I need more time in my life...

I am looking for writers who want to shout about their flying events, what they are doing aviation related, about their books, or any important issue you feel passionate about in aviation...or if you have something or someone you are supporting. If you have a special aviator you would like featured on Friday Flyer, that would be great too.

  • If you have a book you are working on... send me a couple paragraphs for a sneak preview... and we can say, "Coming soon by author...." Send a cover photo
  • If you have an event, tells us the history behind the event, etc.
  • If you have a blog you want more followers send me a blast about what you're doing.
  • You have a passion for a particular plane? Tell us all about it and send photos.
  • Did you read a great book? Tell me about it. Send photos.
  • Flight lessons learned you want to share?
  • Are you going to be in an air race, hosting an event, or doing something special, etc....?
  • If you haven't been a Friday Flyer, send me a bio and photos we'll make you one! Do you know someone?
  • Do you have a safety concern?
  • Where do you see the industry going?
  • If you were you a Friday Flyer... what are you doing today? We want to know.
  • Favorite motivational quote?
  • Favorite Aviation Joke?

I will put a LINK back to your Blog or website.

With your help I can focus on my flying, writing and studying, and I can help you grow your business, following, and shout about your flying events, or current books and future books.

Future pilots, this will become part of your on-line resume.

You are the author who will write the post. I will be your editor.

My only request is I would like to keep it 600 words or less. If you have something that is longer than 600 words, we can create a multiple day posting. If you have photos that would be great too. There will times I might edit...But that is usually a good thing.

  1. Hello Karlene........Don't forget about the 'writings' both 'coherant' and 'incoherent' of US "Aviation Geeks"......Ha Ha...........We sure can be a handful of Emotion when it comes to our "Aviation Passions"...........!!!
I'm teasing here....of course......Anyway.......I hope your New Year was "Excellent" and "Highflying".......

    1. Yes... we love the coherant and incoherent writings of any Aviation Geek! Because... we get it. And understand the power of the acronym.
Flew right on through New Years Eve... and landed on the first. lol. The safest way to spend a holiday. :)

  2. Dear Captain Karlene :D
    This is Mima Asmiera.
I am very much pleased to share what I'm doing now. I'm one of your Friday Fabulous Flyer if you still remember. To be honest I'm still on my way chasing after my dream and just today I've done taking my second tryouts for cadet pilot entrance exams. I love to compile my stories and there's so much things going on and I know much more things will come later on as well....
I will compile with pictures too okay. But I would really like to say this ...
I have 4 heroes in my life which also my role model. One of it was you... and I will tell who's the other three (with pics) in my email to you...
Thanks for you nonstop encouragement and I will never give up! I wasn't born to give in and give up. I was born to strike up and make all those failure starting to give up on failing me. hehe

Wait for my good news :)

  3. By the way, I would like to ask and maybe highlight few things that I heard along my way chasing after my dream. Being in aviation world really open my eyes. Perhaps there's a few thing that you can sort of as a topic ( just in case you feel like writing something ).

    - Pilot and loyalty to their families ( I've read one written by other pilot and I really hope to get your point of view regarding this matter :) because you're woman... hehe )
    - I heard about 'saturated market' of pilot. I recently read about SIA captain being asked to take unpaid leave. It's kinda scary :(
    - Pilot physical ( is it true you cannot be short, fat? huh?? I heard some and find it funny. )
    - Woman and our sensitive nature.... most guys afraid whether we can handle our emotion and stay calm during panic crisis ( yeah, some people really look down on us, woman )
    - Ohh... have you watch Denzel Washington movie titled 'FLIGHT' ??? the movie will premier in my country this Feb. CAN'T WAIT !!!
