Blogging in Formation Update!
Looking forward to the New Year... It's fun to look back at the past and see what our Friday Flyers are doing today. Time to catch up with:
RON RAPP:
"This was definitely a busy year. I've primarily been flying my
tail off as the lead captain on a Gulfstream IV for a large and rapidly
growing charter company. My airplane's based very close to my home,
which means I don't have to drive across Los Angeles (traffic!) nearly
as often. Of course more time is spent on management and whatnot, but
I'd rather do that than sit on the 405 freeway.
I
also serve on the company's ASAP Event Review Committee, and function
as an IOE captain for new hires. And then there's the web site of
course (www.rapp.org)
-- 21 years and still counting with that. I've started writing a
bimonthly column for JetGala magazine called "Captain Speaking", and
still write for AOPA's Opinion Leaders blog.
When I'm
home I spend as much time as I can with my son, who's at 20 months --
going on 20 years if you saw how independent the little guy is.
I
know 2016 hasn't been a great year for a lot of people, but it's been
pretty good to me, so what am I hoping for in 2017? More of the same!
