Cap'n Aux Novels and More

Friday's Fabulous Flyer!

Cap'n Aux

Today’s Friday Flyer is one who’s familiar to our long time readers: Eric “Cap’n Aux” Auxier. An A321 Captain for a major U.S. Airline, Cap’n Aux is a Columnist for Airways Magazine, as well as a blogger at capnaux.com.

This Sunday, Cap’n Aux releases his ninth book. Yes, ninth! Not only that, but this book is Volume 4 in his very popular series, There I Wuz! Adventures From 3 Decades in the Sky. This is his nonfiction series, and is a collection of short stories relating some of the wild things that have happened throughout his nearly 40 years in the cockpit.

What’s more, he always includes an interesting array of guest writers, and in this volume he’s gone all out: no less than ten guest writers grace the pages of Volume 4!

And, guess what: I’m one of those guest writers! Cap’n Aux asked me to write something dear to my heart these days. The result? An article entitled: Terrorism Within the Fraternity. This article will provide more insight into the novels: Flight For Sanity and the upcoming sequel Flight For Justice.

In his Preface for Volume 4, Cap’n Aux explains his There I Wuz! project:

“I originally started the series to relay some of the wild adventures in my nearly 40-years of flying.

“One of the greatest unexpected delights of writing my blog and books has been meeting you: the reader, the pilot, the aviation enthusiast. You, who live in every corner of the globe! I’ve found each of you—and your stories—equally fascinating. Hence, the theme of this book: The People.”

Indeed, the people highlighted in this volume are incredibly fascinating. From Jessica Cox, the world’s only licensed pilot with no arms, to Steven Slater, the JetBlue flight attendant who quit his job in grandiose fashion—by grabbing two beers from the galley, popping an escape chute and sliding into infamy. (C’mon, now, we all thought it was brilliant!)

At over 40 stories and nearly 200 pages, Volume 4 is also the longest of the series. Believe me, you don’t want to miss this one!

Cap’n Aux has announced that, to celebrate the release of Volume 4 on November 5th, he will be offering Volume 1 Free on kindle, from November 3rd through 5th. (Any computer or mobile device can download the kindle app free.) Also, Volumes 2 and 3 will be on kindle Countdown sales—the earlier you buy the cheaper they are. Moreover, the print versions of each volume will be at maximum discount during the same period.  Check it out, and grab some free stuff while you’re at it!

It gets even better!
Half Proceeds go to:

Cap'n Aux's promotion of his newest book just keeps on giving!

Half of the proceeds from Volume 4
go to the Lung Cancer charity:

Cancer came too close to Cap'n Aux's life when his favorite lady, Bunny, was diagnosed with Lung Cancer during a visit to the hospital for a check up, after a passenger's bag fell on her head. Catching this in time was nothing short of a miracle.

There is also nothing worse than a loved one battling cancer. Bunny is a fighter, had a great support system, and she will be back in the air soon! Miracles often take money, and Cap'n Aux's contribution to Team Draft is heartfelt for all those he helps.

Bunny and Cap'n Aux

Bunny is officially a "Lung Cancer Survivor," and Cap'n Aux wanted to do something to celebrate this, as well as raise awareness and benefit survivors. A former NFL linebacker Chris Draft started this mission: teamdraft.org and bunny is fighting strong with him!
