  1. So true!! I have fond memories of TWA. Had a gazillion frequent flyer miles on them in their waning years. Those were some good pilots. :)

  2. Sooo true! I haven't flown a lot with TWA; but the ones I have are quite "memorable" (if that is possible at the age of 5 months?) ENGM-KMIA TWA 747-200 in February 1992 :) We were even seated in the nose section on the lower deck.

    1. OH... that was a historic flight for sure. I remember them well. I actually flew a TWA flight in a Tower 747 on July 17, 1996 while they were getting their new planes ready to fly. We were following flight 800. I will never forget that day.
      Thanks for the comment.

  3. (chuckle) And to think for years K & I flew with wings that just said "US Airmail"-if you want to see a revolt of pilots try and change the 'traditional' design of pilot's wings.
In the summer I don't recall even wearing the wings on my shirt (sans-jacket in the summer).
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, now where are my Citgo Wings?

    1. Yes... US Airmail. I still wear mine. History... a thing we should never give away.

Maybe we should make up some new wings. :)Where are the Citgo Wings? I don't know.
