Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all the women in my life who know the meaning of sacrifice and giving more than you take. Who function on so little sleep, that the rolling days blend together. Who have stayed up all night rocking a sick child, changed diapers in your sleep, and gone out in public with puke on your clothes. For all the children who have taught us how to be mothers, and for all the mothers who did their best despite life’s struggles. For all the cooking, cleaning, coloring, driving, playing, storytelling, bubble baths, patience, lost tempers, and forgiveness—this is for you. 

Any woman can give birth. 

But it takes someone special to be a mother.
