Insanity in The Airline Industry

The Impact on Safety...

Darby Bradshaw and Kathryn Jacobs identified serious flaws within Global Air Lines and the FAA respectively. The way to fix something is to say something. The FAA supports this action with the slogan:

"If you see something
Say something!"

Global Air Lines told Darby that it was every employee's unfettered responsibility to bring anything safety related forward. When she did, the worst happened and she was removed from flight due to inability to hold a first class medical certificate, with concerns for her mental health.

The only malady Darby had was: "paroxysm resulting from a hematoma id associated with a posterior crick." Definition: senior flight operations manager emotionally reacted due to his bruised ego because Darby was a pain in his ass. That wasn't her intent. She never thought that he would do anything but embrace the information she brought forward and take action in to improve operations in the interest of safety.

Woven within this story is a top NTSB investigator, John McAllister, vying to become the Secretary of Department of Transportation, and the realization that the government and the airlines are nothing more than another version of Monopoly. Kathryn Jacob takes a stand, and walks away from her FAA job to complete her research on pilot performance. But when her daughters come close to death in an accident that was designed for she and Darby the game changes. Darby never lost her medical certificate during this fight, but that did not stop Global management from keeping her off duty.

What the Experts are Saying about
Flight For Sanity

"When Karlene Petitt grabs you by the throat with her fast-paced narrative, she doesn't let you go until the early hours of the morning! Flight for Sanity plunges you into a world in which money trumps everything...aviation safety, homeland security, and even the presidency. Couldn't happen? Some of it already has, as with the use of fraudulent mental concerns to silence airline pilots who dare to point out safety problems.

A wild and scary ride with a satisfying and potentially accurate ending. And there may not be enough orange jump suits to go around!"

John J. Nance
Aviation Analyst, ABC World News
Author of LOCKOUT (WildBluePress)

"Petitt is back with her best novel yet! Rich characters, gripping flight scenes, and tidbits of wisdom for upcoming pilots… Cutting to the heart of critical safety issues airline pilots face, and retaliation that follows. Think that’s an unrealistic plot? As an airline pilot, I can assure you—this story is straight out of today’s headlines."

Eric “Cap’n Aux” Auxier,
airline pilot, author.

Petitt captivates the reader with yet another engaging tale of airline drama with enough realism to make it truly terrifying. A great read! I couldn't put it down!

the Colin Pearce series.

Fact and fiction merge into an airline drama where everything is at stake. You'll be thinking about this book long after you've read the last page.

Say, have you ever sent a copy of your book to
a WGA accredited agent? - WGA West, in your
    case.

    1. Dan, I like the way you think!!! I'm on it. Yes... I think these books could be made movies and they don't have to be in the exact order. It's going to happen!

      Thank you!!
