Monday Motivation: Inner Peace

If you can start the day without caffeine,

If you can always be cheerful...
ignoring aches and pains,

If you can resist complaining 
and boring people with your troubles,

If you can eat the same food every day 
and be grateful for it,

If you can understand when your loved ones
are too busy to give you any time,

If you can take criticism and 
blame without resentment,

If you can conquer tension without medical help,

If you can relax without alcohol,

If you can sleep without the aid of drugs,

Then You Are Probably....




The Family Dog!

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it then
pee on it and walk away. 

How do you handle stress?

This week I'm de-stressing with my writer friends in Lake Chelan, Washington. We're on a writer's retreat.

  1. Unfortunately I can not make a day without caffeine, that is my weak point. The New Year (Rosh HaShana) is coming up for me in a couple of weeks so that will be my resolution. Thank you for a great post!

    1. With friends writing this week and we have all realized and none of us are the family dog. :)

  2. Everyday is a new day, completely different time with completely different "seconds", "minutes" and "hours. The world turns and tomorrow means progress, tomorrow means going forward, and heading forward is the direction of resilience.

    Don't forget that Tomorrow is next to the future, and the more we work out our minds and projects everyday, the closer we get from success.

    Success is all about hard work, and you must BELIEVE. Remember: tomorrow lies to those who believe in a new world, a better world, that is for everyone.

    We all have our stressful times, but what is life without stress? It's a pity it gets so hard sometimes.

    If it gets hard and you cannot do anything about it, then leave it to TIME. It's life's best medicine. TIME has the power to make people forgive, forget, succeed, teach, learn... Love. But it takes seconds, minutes, hours, days, or even years to fix what is actually wrong. It works on the same basis as the platitude we all know: "things are sorted out step-by-step".

    Knowledge, words and time. Have those with you, they are extremely powerful. If your stress is just temporary, go outside, breathe, smile, feel, or even exercise!

    I could write more, but I have a slight impression this text is already big and you know all about it. ;)
