A Day to Celebrate...

Celebrate by taking someone you love to see the movie Planes! Go flying. Look to the sky and dream big. Make today special... and know that whatever you do, the sky is not the limit.

Enjoy the Journey!

  1. My whole family went and saw it this weekend. It's actually the first movie my two younger children have seen in the theaters. I don't care that neither of them will remember it (one is 2, the other 4 months old); as a pilot I'm reveling in the fact that this is the first movie they ever saw in theaters. My oldest wants me to take him racing around the world. Maybe, we can race around the SoCal tracon coastline.

    1. Lol.. Keith that is awesome! I took my 3.5 year old grandson and 20 month Granddaughter. They loved it. And will take their cousins soon... 5 and almost 3. Yes, this is something they'll remember. 4 months is the perfect age for a movie. :)
Tell your 2 year old I want to race around the world with him too.

  2. Today is National Aviation Day? Cool! Flying, and looking at the sky and dreaming big, are two of my favorite things. Thanks for sharing this, Karlene.

    1. Thank you so much Linda! We'll be looking to that sky and dreaming big with limes soon! Did I tell you our trip is on my official vacation? We will kill whatever ails us for sure.

  3. Thanks for the reminder. When I see a couple of the winged marvels fly over my trees at 44.221N 123.7W this afternoon, I'll wave, unseen, and with an extra smile. Is it not the thought that really counts? -C.

    1. You are so welcome! I needed Disney to remind me. Keep an eye on those wings. And now I know where to find you. :) My daughter lives in Bend. So... one day we'll have to say hello in person.
