Go With the Flow....

"Sometimes we must remember to go with the flow,
knowing that everything happens as it is supposed to,
even if it is not what we had expected."

The previous month has been exhausting... but full. Women Fly weekend, Women in Aviation weekend, bounces in Atlanta, a visit to Austin, painting the house, planting my bamboo garden, and three weeks of babysitting my grand kids. Today (and the next 10 days) was supposed to be rest, relax, edit, and catch up on all that has been neglected.

Instead I was assigned an 11 day trip!

MSP/AMS/BOM/AMS/JFK/AMS/MSP/SEA.

Sometimes we have to find the bright side of life.

My bright side:
  • Even though I'm missing my Granddaughter's 5th birthday party tomorrow, yesterday we had a great time at the family party.
  • I got to spend quality time with my grandkids.
  • I won't be able to make my AMS three day vacation, but I will be passing through on three different days.
  • I got half the house painted and can finish painting next month in warmer weather.
  • My bamboo is in and loving the rain.
  • I get to fly my plane!
  • Next month I will sleep.

Today... enjoy the miles of smiles from my fun month with the cutest grandkids in the world~

What did we do? We visited the Museum of Flight, went on Easter egg hunts, played in the sandbox, played with Legos, blocks, trucks, pots and pans, and .... ate, and ate some more... had bubble baths, pedicures and spent a lot of time on the floor. They were all great kids. No meltdowns, and many smiles.

 Enjoy the Journey!
XO Karlene

  2. Karlene, these photos are priceless! I remember playing with my mother's pots and pans when I was their age. Ironically enough it was after having returned from the car dealership where my parents were thinking of purchasing a new car. I pretended that Tupperware bowl was the steering wheel. I think my brain was really trying to tell me that it really was supposed to be a Boeing instead of a car.

I love your positive attitude going into the trip especially regarding the 3 day AMS vacation. Yes you will still get those three days and hopefully see friends there!

    Have a safe trip!

  3. Karlene, you always find the bright side in what you're doing. I love that about you! So nice that you had the time to play with your grandchildren.

Have a fantastic trip--that's a long one! I'll be thinking of all the flying you're doing while I'm here at school haha. Do you enjoy flying into Mumbai? Anything fun to do there?

    Fly safe and enjoy it!

    1. Hi Swayne, Yes... we must find the positive! And my little babies are so darling. Missing them already.

Mumbai... the best thing to do is stay in, sleep, hang at the hotel and maybe take a swim... workout. We land at midnight. Depart around the same time then next night. So... makes for sleeping the day away.

      Thanks for your comment.

  5. Those grandkids are so darned cute! Three weeks of babysitting is a lot, but I know how much you loved it. What a big, beautiful family. Sleep . . . oh my, I think you could use some of that. If you see An in AMS give her a hug for me, and one to you, too!
