Aviation: The Gift That Gives

The Gift Of Flight

Sometimes it feels that the holidays turn into a marketing campaign for "stuff." We stuff the stockings, stuff the turkey, and put a lot of stuff under the Christmas tree or gift it for Hanukkah. How much stuff do we really need anyway?

This is the time of year we should focus on the gift that keeps on giving.

  • Do you have anyone on your list that loves Aviation, but you have no idea what to get them?
  • What about the person who really doesn't need anything, but you want to tell them you are thinking of them through the holidays?
  • Do you want to spend your holiday dollars on something that will support and encourage flight?
Ruth Morlas has set up a scholarship to help one lucky future pilot to get through their solo. $3000 dollar value. (Lucky future pilots click HERE to learn how to apply. Deadline December 31st.)

She is funding this scholarship by donations. But this is a donation with a twist. Ruth has a talented friend, Brett Wilson, who designed a Christmas Card and Ruth wrote a poem (both are copyrighted). With this Christmas campaign you are able to donate on the behalf of someone else, and send them this priceless card. Your donation will also enter your friend in a chance to win an iPad mini. Their notification will be one of these cards, either printed or via email.

In addition, she is selling these beautiful, one of a kind, holiday cards, and all donations go to the Gift of Flight Scholarship.

If you have one, or many aviators you want to share a gift that gives, please click the following links:

I know I will be busy shopping on behalf of the Gift of Flight Scholarship.

Happy Holidays!

XO Karlene
