Parallel Universe

Ever wonder how many people are walking this earth, or in this case flying the skies, sharing your thoughts? Sometimes the synchronicity of life overwhelms me.

Months back, I introduced Mike Coe and his novel, Flight To Paradise. At the time, I'd left my book in some foreign country. But since then I purchased another, as well as the sequel, Flight Into Darkness. I finished Flight to Paradise and very glad I repurchased it. I needed to see that in the end, pain and suffering, loss of love, and doing the right thing can all work out as they do with the twist of life.

And then.... I dove into Flight into Darkness.

Because I've been living my own dark days, I haven't had a chance to read. My reading comes at the gym, or snuggled into a hot bath at the end of the day. Now that I have a bit of my life under control I'm reading again.

For all those who think, "A pilot could never crash their own plane," Captain Coe lists "5" actual accidents where this was the case. Why would he do that in his fictional novel? Because truth mirrors fiction.

In Flight For Control, Kathryn asks, "If your husband had a choice of killing a plane load of people, or know that you and your children would be murdered, what would he do?" In Flight Into Darkness this theory is being played out on the pages.

Yes... Planes are crashing. But why?

Back to this parallel universe...
I write a blog: Flight To Success, and wrote a novel  Flight For Control, Mike wrote a novel: Flight To Paradise. My sequel is Flight For Safety. Mike's is Flight Into Darkness. We walk through the shadow of the industry... traveling parallel lives, sharing our stories, our fears, the reality of our industry through fiction.

For anyone who has purchased my book.. I am hosting a drawing for a great PRIZE: I will fly to the winner's home, state, country.... anywhere in the world and bring a gift of 5 books to them, and join their book club party. You can enter with the purchase of an e-book too! Just let me know where you bought it and want to be part of the drawing. Oh... and make sure you tell me where you live. Winner will be announced May 17th!

Enjoy the Journey!

  2. Thank you Karlene. I am well into your book and I must say it is great. Your writing is clean and crisp. Since we connected I have been amazed at our common perceptions of the industry...and amazed at our titles. Looks like we could collaborate our third novels.

    1. Thank you so much Mike. You'll soon hear what Darby say's about Kat's theory. :) Yes... so amazed too. I think there are connections in life, and sometimes we walk past and never reach out. But they're all there if we look. Some stronger than others. Book three would be great!

    1. Oh... how nice to hear. Thank you! Yes... the life of a pilot is unique. We have to ask... why do we do it?

  5. When Michelle said "Istanbul" my ears perked up. FLIGHT INTO DARKNESS has many key scenes in Istanbul. It is the focus of the villain's motive for his evil plan. Amazing place!
