Monday Motivation

“We must accept finite disappointment,

but never lose infinite hope.”

Martin Luther King Jr.

The disappointment today is my "proof" for Flight For Control is scheduled to arrive after 3 p.m. ... Unless UPS doesn't deliver on a holiday... and I have Instrument ground school tonight. So my reading won't begin until tomorrow morning. I was hoping to have my novel in my hands Saturday, have it read and able to approve by today. Plan A didn't happen.

My much anticipated "go date" for my novel's release may not make it's 17th debut. But like all good things, they come to those who wait. It's also been 2 years 6 months, what's another few days? I have infinite hope that it will come, all will be perfect and I can shout about the release sooner than later.

How will you deal with the little setbacks of life?

Enjoy the journey!

  1. How exciting to have a proof to pore over! Yes, the timing will become a minor detail with the birth of your book for public consumption. Get ready for your heart to go pit-a-pat! How will I deal with life's little setbacks? Same as you, I hope--philosophically, wisely, and with determination.

    1. Thanks Linda! It's here...and a major error that I did. Oh my. But... hopefully only in the paper back. I'm going to have a snowed in read day tomorrow!

  3. Feel better from the little setbacks of life by... going flying! haha

Sometimes it gets us down and we don't want to do anything, that's when we should turn to those whom we love and do what we love. Like aviation, I'd feel a million times better and have a better outlook on everything after having flown.
I don't know why sometimes but it just works.

    Must.go.flying. it's been over a month! ahh!

    1. I have a better outlook after having flown too. I think it's the change of state, and the fact our problems are so small way down there on the ground. Flying has always been a place of relaxation to me. Calm. Peaceful. I too need to go flying! Thanks for the comment.
