Monday Motivation

“Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me … Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful… that’s what matters to me.”

Steve Jobs

In memory of a magnificent man who not only did something wonderful, but changed the world…

What have you done today that was wonderful?

Today I got to fly an airplane from Atlanta to Amsterdam. Not just any airplane, but one of the most highly automated planes in the sky.

What makes this achievement wonderful?

  • I was told I couldn’t fly because “girls can’t do that!” And I defied that truth.
  • I’ve been flying against the wind for 33 years and eight airlines, and I’m still flying.
  • Because of people with brilliant minds like Steve Jobs, aviation has achieved great heights.
  • I get to meet my friend's Hans and An in Amsterdam, for dinner, who I met on line on my MacBook Pro. Thank you Steve!

Tell me something wonderful you did today. Wonderful is as beautiful as smelling the roses, baking cookies with your daughter, or writing 1000 words. Make your life have meaning.

Enjoy the Journey!

  2. That is wonderful, Karlene! What a great inspiration. Let's see, today I finished the first draft of a full wrap cover for an author and it turned out beautiful! I never realized I'd love designing so much. :)
