The entrance to the Mediterranean between Spain and Morocco... Amazing, but true. I'm hoping everyone is staying awake at this airport.
One place you don't want to run a red light.
PS... Thank you 99's for sending me some great shots!
Enjoy the Journey!

Gr8 Pix! ... Hmmm... I can't figure out why they would build a road across a runway... (Seems like a nightmare for both safety and security.)
ReplyDeleteWow! very attractive airport:)Also very peaceful!
ReplyDeleteI guess this airport influences many children dream. when I was child,I often visit at Kansai international airport in Osaka to see commercial airline.
I really wanna visit at this place in near future.

T.J. My only guess is they had the airport first and built the town around and figured there was only one way to get to the other town... across the runway. Fascinating.
ReplyDeleteJun, I've flown into Kansai many times. Wow...and you were had been there too. How wonderful! You will visit many places in your future!
ReplyDeleteI've seen roads that go under runways (HGR, near my house has that) but never THROUGH a runway!! I thought a freight train was thing biggest thing you would ever see crossing a road!
ReplyDeleteStunning! and scary, too. Now that's adventure.
ReplyDeleteWriters conference on the rock, Linda? :)
ReplyDeleteIt's the home of the world's shortest Intercontinental Flight.
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is one highway I do NOT want to travel on. *shivers*
ReplyDeleteHeather, Yes... very scary!
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that the last photo has been manipulated by digital technology. All too easy these days. An awesome set of pictures never the less. I'm particularly intrigued by the fighter stopped on the runway - from the fire apparatus present, it would appear that the jet had some sort of emergency.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post!
Dan in ALB... YOU could be right. Theatrics in entertaining. Besides... who would be on the other side of that car to take that picture? Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment!

ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day.
