Twisp BBQ & WPA Meeting (2S0-2434’ PF-122.9-NF-CC-TC-RV-PP) 2:00 WPA Meeting. 3:00 BBQ Potluck. Club provides the steaks. (Fuel at Winthrop S52 - 122.8)

June 11: 

Pangborn Airport Fly-In at Wenatchee (EAT-5700’ PF-123.0-F-RR) 7:30-9:00 Pancake Breakfast (Free to First 30 Pilots!), free drawings, plane and helicopter rides, kids activities, and more. Lunch on the Ramp. Many displays including Miss Veedol - Spirit of Wenatchee and Central Washington Motorcycle Training. 

June 18-19: 

Tonasket Fly-In (W01-3053’ PF-122.9-NF-CC-RR-PP) Saturday afternoon, you can participate in the spot landing contest and the flour bombing contest. Saturday evening is the DIY Steak Fry …price includes steaks, soft drinks, and plenty of sides. Sunday (Father’s Day) is the Scrumptious Breakfast. Then pilots who want to, can fly kids around the patch.

June 25-26: 
Fly-Out to Coulee Dam at Electric City (3W7-4199’ PF-122.9-NF-CC-TC-RR) BYO drinking water. 5 tie downs + 1 fire ring + 3 tables. Camp…picnic…swim…relax…see the Coulee Dam Laser Light Show!

July 4-5: 

Back by popular demand…Celebrate Independence Day at Republic – Ferry County Airport (R49-3322’ PF-122.9-NF-CC-TC-RV-PP) (RR-S @ Park) Camp at the airport or at beautiful Curlew Lake State Park…which is cooler and close by. Potluck dinner…swimming…then watch fabulous fireworks soar up from the lake to explode at eye level when viewed from the airport. Who knows where we will go for breakfast or lunch on the 5th. Could be surprises involved…

Twisp Fly-In Pancake Breakfast (2S0-2434’ PF-122.9-CC-TC-RV-PP) This fly-in involves the community, info booths, aerial demonstrations, a car show, and lots of excitement. Make a reservation in town to stay overnight for more local fun. (Fuel at Winthrop S52-122.8)

July 22-24: 

North Cascades Vintage Fly-In at Mears Field in Concrete (2W5-2609’ PF-122.9-F-TC-PP) Numerous cool hangars to go through, lots of vintage aircraft and cars, and private aircraft camping on the field. Scads of vendors provide tasty selection of food. Big Band plays 1:30-4:30 Saturday. This is one that you’ll want to attend!

July 25-31: 

EAA AirVenture at Oshkosh, Wisconsin Details @

August 5-7: 

Eastsound Fly-in and Antique Car Show on Orcas Island (KORS-2901’ PF-F-PP-CC-TC) Pancake Breakfast Saturday and Sunday…Lunch on Saturday. Day trip, or camp or lodge. Walk to the picturesque village.

August 12-14: 

Sullivan Lake Splash-In (O9S-Water & 1765’ GF-122.9-NF-TC-RV-PP). Fly-In and Short (2 hr) Work Party…Help RAF & WSDOT spruce up the field, and then relax, hike, or swim. All are invited. Contact Dave Whitelaw 509-631-0623,

August 19-20: 

AOPA Fly-in at Bremerton, WA (KPWT-6000’ PF-123.05) Friday Night Barnstormers Party with Dinner + Music. Food (buy food tickets online…save $.) Pilot Town Hall with AOPA President Mark Baker. Lots of displays/vendors/events. Camp under your wing or in town. Reservations for both are recommended. Details: We put a star on this event because we are so pleased AOPA chose our state for one of their four regional Fly-Ins!

August 26-28: 

Republic Fly-In & WPA Meeting at Ferry County Airport (R49-3322’ PF-122.9-NF-CC-TC-RV-PP) (RR-S @ Park) WPA Meeting – 1:00 PM Saturday, with credited FAA Seminar. YUMMY Breakfasts - Lunches - Dinners Friday evening through Sunday morning…often 150 aircraft attend. The airport over-looks beautiful Curlew Lake State Park…with campsites, showers, bathrooms, swimming, and a seaplane dock. A courtesy car helps get your gear there. Most camp under their wing…there are sani-cans, washing stations, food and beverages, covered seating, and entertainment…Elvis visits! There’s more…rides to Republic, where there are restaurants, bars, lodging, and shops, plus boat tours on Curlew Lake, and tours into Curlew to see the old hotel and the museum, and to the fossil digs! Super Fun Fly-In!

August 27-28: 

Olympic Peninsula Air Affaire at Sequim Valley (W28-3106’ PF-122.7-F-TC-RV-PP). Do as a day trip or overnight. Numerous vendors of all types, air shows, RC model airplanes, wing walkers, aerobatic performances, live music, and other entertainment. Info at

September 9-11: 

Western Antique Aeroplane and Antique Automobile Museum Fly-In @ Ken Jernstedt Airfield at Hood River, OR (4S2-3040’ PF-122.8-F-TC-RV-PP) Fabulous museum! September 11-?: 

Nehalem Bay State Airport and Park in Oregon (3A7-2350’ PF-NF-TC) (RV-RR-S @ Park) Land by the ocean… camp under your wing ($11 - 1st come 1st served), at the park, or in town… walk beaches … go fly a kite … relax...

Fitzpatrick - O’Keefe Fly-In & Meeting at Winthrop Smokejumper Base in Methow Valley (S52-5000’ PF-122.8-F-RR in hangar) 9:30 participate in or watch short landing and take-off, spot landing, and flour bombing contests + have coffee, muffins, and fruit. 12:00 Irish lunch at the Fitz hangar, courtesy of the club for WPA members…donation requested for non WPA members. 1:00 WPA Meeting.
