Lack of Flying Skills

And Problems Monitoring... 

In 2016, the Office of the Inspector General identified that pilots’ lacked flight skills and exhibited problems monitoring their instruments. Incidents and safety reports have further identified confusion, lack of understanding, and mode awareness issues.



I hypothesize there is more to this 
than meets the eye. 
Pilots want to do the best they can. 
Therefore, if these issues are occurring, 
could there be a reason?  

If every person who reads this post, reaches out to all the commercial pilots they know (and may have already contacted) and asks them if they have taken the survey (a gentle reminder can never hurt) and then ask those pilots to do the same with their their colleagues, then this survey will snowball!
