The Flying Job

"Flyers were an elite breed. "Not every man can be an aviator," he said, "and mighty few can command aviation." In any case, he noted, cost would keep most of them grounded. If not, there was a bigger price to pay. "This game," he warned them, "costs money, but if you fail to get the very best of everything, you will come to grief sooner or later."
Do you know when these words were spoken?
"1916"

Today... Aviation is equally as expense and will keep most grounded. I always said it's hard for a reason... to make you the best you can be. The consequences are not an alternative.

The above passage came out of a fabulous book I'm reading. The Millionaires' Unit, The Aristocratic Flyboys Who Fought The Great War and Invented American Air Powers.

If you love history, great writing, and aviation... you will love this book as much as I do. Take a journey back in time and learn what dedication, commitment and the unwillingness to give up can do. Perhaps it can save a Nation in a war.

Enjoy the Journey!
