Take Time To Relax

Yesterday was a spectacular day on Lake Washington!

"Remember to Take the Time to Enjoy the Journey
... It's Good for Your Soul."

Blue skies. Airplanes. Helicopters. Boats. Hydroplanes. Pirates. And I took the day off. My husband and I were invited to share the journey with some friends, so I put my "to do" list on hold and goofed off all day. I can't remember when I took the day off to do nothing. I was officially on Island Time, and enjoyed every minute.

While I was playing, Ryan Lock was on the other side of the world working on my website. Thank you Ryan! And for all of you who are working too hard, remember to take a day now and then to enjoy life. It's good for the soul, and I plan on doing it more often.

Enjoy the journey!

XO Karlene

  1. Karlene, it's about time you took that much deserved day off. By the photos it looked so much fun. Would have loved to have been out on a boat watching planes.

As for the new website, I can not wait to see it.

    Have a great week ahead!

    1. As I say... it's better to be lucky than good. Unless of course we're good and lucky. Maybe my reward for missing OSH!

  3. Well, jeeez Karlene - I just want to know what took so long to get this posted?!? Obviously your day of relaxation came to a grinding halt...or maybe you stretched it by reliving the day in written form. A lovely day on the water, made all the more so for me by the introduction to my future classmate! I'm wondering how it is that we've only just now met!!

    1. Lol! I like the way you think... reliving it over and over. :) My sunburn is reminding me of the fun! I am wondering what took us so long to meet too. And so looking forward to class. My flashcards will be here in two days and when I have them mastered...they're yours! Good times to come!

  4. Nice pics! Fun day! Yes, it's good to take a day off once in awhile--esp. as busy as you are in the cockpit and on the word processer, lol!

  5. What a wonderful day Karlene. I wish you would...or could...have more days like that. I've said this before, but Seattle is, by far, my favorite US layover city. Believe it or not I've never made it out to Lake Washington. There's probably an easy way to get out there from where we stay, I've just never checked into it. After looking at these pics, I think I've been missing out

Thanks for an awesome post...as usual.

    1. Oh... you should layover here more often. Yes... you have missed out. The lake is minutes from anywhere in Seattle. So nice restaurants too. When the sun is shining there is no city like it. And... when it's raining it's pretty awesome too. Thanks so much for your comment.
