Monday Motivation

"I remember being that little boy pointing to the sky."
Austin Watson

Saturday, my friend Austin flew to his friend's place on Whidbey island for breakfast. Two nine-year old boys were enthralled with his seaplane being on their beach. Austin gave them the flight-deck tour and after which, they ran up the beach yelling "awesome!!!"

This picture was taken as he departed. Austin says, "I just cant quit looking at it. It just says it all. I remember being that little boy pointing to the sky."

Do you remember?

Enjoy the Journey.

  4. So great! Yes, I remember being the little kid pointing at the sky. Usually at a regular old bird, though. :-) Flying airplanes is special. Once smitten, your done!

    1. Oh...now that's so cute. I used to point like that at butterflies. Then a jet flew overhead. What was that! Once smitten you are caught for life.

  5. Great photo. I was that kid pointing a the sky many years ago. (I still do that!)
Our family used to have lake property on Lake Sammamish and every now and then some guy with an old Seabee would pull up to our neighbor's beach. That was always exciting for me, I'd stand on our dock staring at it.
Never got a ride but fun to see.

(I still run outside when I hear something "different" on downwind over my house in Renton)
