Happy St. Patrick's Day!

May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.

May you always have
Departures into the wind,
Nice approaches to bring you in,
Warm drinks by the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all your heart may desire!

Enjoy the Journey!

  1. What a thoughtful sentiment for St. Patty's Day! That picture of the Chicago River sure brings back memories. I lived there for years, and it was amazing to see the boat dump green food dye into the river March l7, and voila! But hey, it's Chicago! Now that the mayor won't be Irish, I wonder . . . nah!

  4. I went to Skagit today! It was windy, but I'm alive and the plane's even in one piece. :D and I heard an Australian guy on Seattle Approach and was all excited. Even though I got lost going both directions.

  5. I had hoped to see more of the "Engine Failure..." post today. Doing it right, even in the periodic simulator refreshers is important. Since you are one who has developed the detailed routines for unplanned event, through several airlines, you certainnly know the rules; you've made some of them. I guess it a shame that you have to fly as a Relief Pilot these days, but I'm glad that you are aboard. (With some serious , I have to wonder if you are not being groomed for later service as a simulator instructor or FO line-check pilot. I'm thinking you would make a world-class instructor. Best wishes, -Craig
